This water-based, white pigmented primer is designed for use on a variety of interior and exterior surfaces, including drywall, plaster, masonry, aluminum, painted metal, steel siding, wood, and glossy surfaces. It is effective at blocking out a wide range of stains, such as those caused by asphalt, water, rust, cedar, pine, ink, pencil, felt marker, and light smoke. For particularly water-sensitive stains, it is recommended to apply the original Kilz primer as a base coat before using this product.

To achieve maximum stain-blocking results, it is important to allow the Kilz2 primer to cure for at least 4 hours before applying any topcoats. Clean-up is easy, requiring only soap and water.
